“You get an extra push. Much quicker turns!”
Creating a smooth and rhythmic skating stride helps you to become an efficient skater. So when you are practicing your skating technique, try to find a rhythm in your body. This helps your whole body to work as a unit, avoiding your legs, core, arms or hands working as separate from each other. A great way of improving your rhythm is to work on drills like the one in this video where the end result is determined by your ability to create smooth and rhythmic movements rather than speed, power or high frequency.
